The Global Cognitive Index with Converge provides a double layer of assessment security.

The Global Cognitive Index (GCI) by PreVisor is a suite of cognitive ability assessments that utilises innovative technology to deliver a positive candidate experience, increase test security, and produce more accurate results.

The GCI utilises Computer Adaptive Testing to administer tests that adapt to candidates' ability levels as they proceed through the test by scoring each answer and presenting the next item based on the accuracy of their previous response.

Key features of the GCI are:

• Dynamic presentation of items: The GCI can be administered without a supervisor/proctor to save on administrative costs without threatening test security. Also, because the test is adaptive, an accurate assessment of the candidate’s ability will be reached much faster.
• Flexibility: Four subtests of the GCI are available. Each test can be administered as a standalone test or in any combination with the other three. This offers a great deal of flexibility.
• PreVisor ConVerge: As an optional security layer, Converge uses the candidate's test results from an initial unproctored test as input for a short, follow-up proctored assessment.

• Abstract Reasoning

Abstract Reasoning

The Abstract Reasoning assessment measures flexibility of thinking and strength related to learning potential and conceptual thought. This capacity includes the ability to solve problems in new situations where one has little experience upon which to draw. It is a non-verbal, pattern-matching test that is independent of language.

• Deductive Reasoning (with Converge)

Deductive Reasoning

The Deductive Reasoning assessment measures the ability to draw logical conclusions based on information provided, identify strengths and weaknesses of arguments, and complete scenarios using incomplete information. It provides an indication of how an individual will perform when asked to develop solutions when presented with information and draw sound conclusions from data. This form of reasoning is commonly required to support work and decision-making in many different types of jobs at many levels

• Verbal Ability (with Converge)

Verbal Ability

The Verbal Ability assessment measures the ability to extract relevant information from written sources and make objective judgments on the basis of that information, logically complete sentences, and understand relationships between words. It provides an indication of how an individual will perform when working with reports, correspondence, instructions, and research information. Verbal proficiency is commonly required to support work judgment and decision-making in many different types of jobs at all levels.

• Quantitative Ability (with Converge)

Quantitative Ability

The Quantitative Ability assessment measures the ability to comprehend numerical information in a variety of formats. It provides information regarding an applicant’s ability to solve maths problems using basic arithmetic skills to complex algebra skills, comprehend graphs, tables, and charts, make inferences from numerical data, compare and contrast numerical data, and evaluate quantities to arrive at a correct judgment.
