What is the history of Assess professional? |

In the 1970s, Assess Professional began as a mainframe computer expert system application designed to help new psychologists evaluate our standard test battery and write profile-level assessment reports for business. Over the years, this application was migrated to a PC environment with first a DOS, and then a Windows, operating system. In 1998, an Internet application was introduced.
Over this same time period, the expert judgement and report writing components have been regularly revised and improved. Since 1988, the report output has been directed toward a general business audience rather than toward psychologists. Modern ASSESS reports are written in a manner that allows them to either stand on their own without the interpretation of a psychologist or to provide a detailed foundation for a summary report written by a psychologist. In 2001, Assess Professional was updated to include over 72 templates and hundreds of links to developmental books and resources. Version 2 of the software, released in 2003, included the following updates:
In 2004, Assess360 was released. This multi-rater feedback survey system is a compatible component of the ASSESS System Platform and provides competency-based feedback on actual behaviour. In 2006, Assess the Focus360 and My360 modules. |
