Select the Best — Success Profiles
A Success Profile is similar to a Template but instead of comparing the candidate to what is typical for supervisors, salespeople, claims managers or some other comparison group, the comparison is made to a job-specific group in your company.
If you are currently using Competency reports based on your competency model, a Success Profile is a method for scoring ASSESS characteristics across the competencies in your model to predict future job success.
Typically, the development of a Success Profile involves conducting a validation study and building a predictive model of ASSESS characteristics desired for success. The result is a template-like graphic representation of success ranges for the characteristics measured by ASSESS and an overall Success Index score which can be used in making selection decisions.
You should consider developing a Success Profile when there are 100 or more people in the same job or similar jobs, when the cost of a bad selection is high, and when you would like to further objectify selection decisions.
